Foundry An produces steel castings with grey and ductile iron by green sand and resin sand moulding. Steel casting is used where strength and wear resistance are required in automotive, mechanical engineering and construction. Parts can be finished on in-house CNC machines; the foundry is ISO 9001 certified.

Grey iron castings (EN-GJL grades) are produced by green sand and resin sand moulding. EN-GJL (formerly GG) is characterised by vibration damping and machinability for complex geometries needing dimensional accuracy. Parts can be delivered raw, primed or CNC machined, with ISO 9001 laboratory checks.

Ductile Iron Castings (EN-GJS)

EN-GJS (formerly GGG) ductile iron is produced by green and resin sand moulding; it offers ductility, strength and impact resistance for critical mechanical and structural parts. Castings are exported from the Konya foundry to Europe. Chemical analysis, mechanical testing and NDT are applied batch by batch.

Carbon and Low-Alloy Steel Castings

Carbon and low-alloy steel castings are produced with stainless as AKMETAL’s main output. AOD secondary steelmaking is described as one of the few such converters in Europe. Parts weigh 10 kg to 14 tonnes for OEM portfolios including pulp and paper and energy.

Since 1963 AKMETAL has produced mainly stainless, low-alloy and carbon steel castings. Electric-arc and induction furnaces are combined with an AOD converter; casting weight is 10 kg to 14 tonnes. Supply is to OEMs in oil and gas, offshore, lifting, mining, energy and pressure equipment.

EW01 Stargaze is an alloy-wheel model listed on the Elit Wheels homepage in BMP, PLP, BLP and CSP finishes. It belongs to the custom-design family in the 13–20 inch range. It is cast from aluminium alloy on the Manisa low-pressure line. Size and coating code follow the ordered vehicle application.

EW02 Wild Beauty Wheel

EW02 Wild Beauty appears in Elit Wheels models with CSP, PLP and BLP coatings. Wheels are made by E.T.R.T.O.-compliant low-pressure casting. The 14,000 m² Manisa OSB plant runs more than 30 processes. Design and inch size are cast to the customer wheel programme.

Aluminium Alloy Wheel 13–20 in

Elit Wheels produces custom-design alloy wheels in the 13–20 inch range. Wheels are cast on computer-controlled low-pressure machines from special aluminium alloys to E.T.R.T.O. standards. More than 30 processes run on 14,000 m² in Manisa OSB. Diameter, ET and design are cast to the order.

European Casting Export

From the Konya foundry, machined and unmachined castings are regularly exported to industrial customers in Germany, France, Italy and other EU markets, with export documentation and logistics. The group is an export company (An Dış Ticaret) plus two ISO 9001 foundries. Grey iron, ductile iron and steel have been supplied since 1990.

AKMETAL’s steel casting range is 10 kg to 14 tonnes. Stainless, low-alloy and carbon steels are made with electric arc, induction and AOD. OEM supply for offshore, heavy lifting, pressure equipment and pulp and paper uses this weight range.

The die shop and foundry make project profiles and cast parts. The R&D centre designs new systems. Industrial profile orders are taken alongside architectural lines Orders and shipments are handled from the Beylikdüzü OSB (Istanbul) plant; technical sizes and materials are confirmed against the customer specification.

Painting sits on the Elit Wheels process list before quality testing, after machining. BMP, PLP, BLP, CSP and CS finishes appear on model cards. The Manisa OSB paint line finishes 13–20 inch wheels in these coatings. Colour code follows the ordered finish family.

Machining follows foundry and X-ray on the Elit Wheels process list. It is part of more than 30 production processes. The Manisa plant CNC-machines the wheel to E.T.R.T.O. dimensions. Stock and overlap are programmed to the wheel drawing.

Low-Pressure Wheel Casting

Wheels are produced on computer-controlled low-pressure casting machines using special aluminium alloys. E.T.R.T.O. conformity is stated in the corporate text. The 14,000 m² Manisa OSB plant does this casting as the first of more than 30 processes. Die and alloy follow the wheel model.

CNC machining of castings on Mazak 5-axis vertical mills, lathes and milling centres. Manhole covers through to automotive brackets are delivered machined ready for assembly under IATF 16949 and EN 124-2; the site states 31,700 machining hours per year.
