Starting with the Product Development Department in 1961, Ford Otosan’s R&D has the know-how, capability and infrastructure to design, develop and test a complete vehicle including the engine until it becomes a commercial product. As the largest R&D organization in the Turkish automotive industry, it exports engineering with about 2,300 R&D employees. It is a support center for design and engineering of Ford light commercial vehicles and the global engineering center for heavy commercials and their diesel engines and engine systems.
