Yavuz Döküm started operating in 1971 in İzmir Çamdibi on an area of about 300 m² with a cupola furnace system and an annual metal melting capacity of 300 tons. Following technological developments in the sector closely, it moved to the İzmir Işıkkent Foundry Site in 2000. In 2012, entirely with its own resources and more than 40 years of experience, it established its second plant in Manisa Muradiye Organized Industrial Zone on a total area of 6,000 m², 4,000 m² of which is covered. Today, with two plants in İzmir and Manisa and a production capacity of 5,000 tons/year, it produces lamellar graphite cast iron (grey iron casting) and spheroidal graphite cast iron (ductile iron casting) for domestic and international customers. Melting is carried out with two 800 kW induction furnaces of 2 tons/hour capacity each; single pieces up to 6 tons in grey iron and up to 4 tons in ductile iron can be cast. The facility has a semi-automatic machine moulding line, a resin moulding line for moulds up to 3000x4000x1200 mm, hand moulding, and Cold Box, CO2 and resin core production. With its ISO 9001:2015 Quality, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, Yavuz Döküm is committed to maximum customer satisfaction, environmental responsibility and employee safety. Its laboratory performs chemical, hardness and microstructure checks with an optical emission spectrometer, a Brinell hardness tester and a metallurgical microscope; fittings are tested in underwater pneumatic pressure test tanks.
