Founded in 1992, Maysa Gida has grown into one of Turkey's largest producers and key players in the food & dairy ingredients market with a wide range of portfolio and experienced technical based marketing team over 25 years. In 1992 production of Yayla branded cheese rennets started in cooperation with Gist-Brocades. In 2006 animal rennet was produced from frozen abomasum in Turkey for the first time. In 2008 the company moved to the Tuzla facility with 12,000 m² indoor space. In February 2017 it was granted the title of the 20th Research-Development Center in the food sector by the Ministry of Science and Industry.

Mysecoren Animal Rennets
Animal rennets are produced entirely from calf and bovine abomasa. Selected raw materials are processed by Maysa’s extraction method; the crude enzyme is filtered, purified and standardised to international norms in different strengths and forms. Mysecoren animal rennets hold an internationally valid halal certificate and are suitable for all cheese types. MYSECOREN 200/200HC/225 liquid 5–20 L; 300 FK 1 L. In 2006 animal rennet was produced from frozen abomasum in Turkey for the first time.
Mystarter Starter Cultures
The Mystarter range consists of freeze-dried cultures isolated from milk and dairy-origin products. Strains are selected by function, grown in a suitable medium, freeze-dried to keep activity, blended with other strains and packed aseptically. Cultures for all fermented dairy products are available and tailor-made products can be made on request. Sub-headings are yoghurt and fermented-milk cultures, cheese cultures and the Yo-tech series. Mystarter was launched in Cyprus in 2010.
Yayla Microbial Cheese Rennets
Yayla microbial coagulants are liquid proteolytic enzyme preparations obtained by fermentation of a selected Rhizomucor miehei strain. The enzyme is similar to chymosin used in cheese making and is described as cost-effective. YAYLA liquid is listed at 1/8,500 mcu/ml–120 IMCU/ml (50–125 g) and 1/16,000 mcu/ml–220 IMCU/ml (250 g–20 L); BOVIREN 220/750/2200 at higher strengths in 5–20 L. The English page also lists granulated MUCOREN grades. Yayla production started in 1992 with Gist-Brocades.

Food R&D and Product Development
The corporate timeline states that in February 2017 the company received the title of the 20th R&D Centre in the food sector from the Ministry of Science and Industry. The mission is to develop professionals’ knowledge and to be a solution partner for production problems.
