It retains fragments if broken, blocks 97–99% of UV, and contributes to sound insulation. It can also be used in insulating-glass units. Tempered Glass
Construction Materials ProductDuring tempering, glass is heated to approximately 600–700 °C and rapidly cooled. This creates compressive stress on the surface and increases its resistance to mechanical loads and thermal shock. When broken, fully tempered glass fragments into relatively small pieces rather than large sharp shards. All cutting, drilling and edge processing must therefore be completed before tempering. Approx. five times higher strength than comparable annealed glass; TS EN 12150. Suitable for façades, railings, shower enclosures and furniture.

Thermal Insulation SystemsFor facade ETICS, the wall is cleaned of dust, dirt and moisture and cracks are repaired. EPS boards are set into a starter profile and bonded with dabs plus a perimeter bead of adhesive. After the adhesive has cured, boards are mechanically fixed with six plastic anchors per square metre; corner, drip, sill and movement profiles are fitted before render. Two coats of thin render with alkali-resistant mesh are applied, then mineral render and paint or ready-coloured acrylic/silicone decorative render.

Basement Wall Insulation
Thermal Insulation SystemsThe basement wall is excavated to the footing and two coats of liquid waterproofing membrane are applied. 25 cm Austrotherm EPS with 100 kPa compressive strength and 0.035 W/mK thermal conductivity is bonded with cement adhesive. Two coats of mesh-reinforced thin render and two further membrane coats follow. A drainage board is installed with dimples toward the insulation, then backfill. 20 kg/m³ EPS was selected against the calculated lateral soil stress.
