OYTITHERM EVA hot melts offer inner strength, elasticity, thermal stability and high heat resistance for pocket-spring manufacture in mattresses and for automated packaging lines. Published features include short open time, high tensile strength and thermal stability. They are used from woodworking to packaging. Process-oriented hot melts are customized for integration into the production process. Production is at the Hersek Sanayi Sitesi plant in Altınova, Yalova.

OYTITHERM hotmelts based on APAO polymers carry the highest performance among conventional hotmelts. Heat resistance starts as high as 110 °C, with ultra-high inner strength and aggressive tack on various substrates. They are used across industries including automotive supply and woodworking. The APAO series developed for foam processing offers a long open time and high inner strength for tension bonds in upholstery. They are odorless, emission-free and have tailor-made process parameters.

Alcon (A) Putty Metal Bond is a mixture of epoxy resins and steel powders with very strong adhesion to many metals such as steel and cast iron, to concrete and to some hard plastics. It is used for bonding broken machine parts, filling casting defects and cavities, bonding and repairing drilled tanks, vessels, pipes and flanges, and covering and protecting metal surfaces damaged by friction or abrasion. It is easily applied on vertical surfaces, can be machined on metallic surfaces, and is resistant to chemicals, weak acids, bases and solvents, water and salt water. Mix ratio 9:1 by weight, 2.5:1 by volume. Working time 45 minutes for 500 g at 24 °C. Cure 16 hours. Shore D 85. Tensile strength 22.2 MPa, compressive strength 57 MPa. Maximum dry service temperature 120 °C. Code M-2222, 500 g tin, 10 per carton.

JAL Alcon S is a fast-drying, general-purpose, epoxy-based metallic bonding and filling material. It sets in 5 minutes, bonds in 20 minutes and is ready to use after 1 hour. It is a fast grey plastic-steel adhesive gel. It provides very strong and practical bonding, does not lose volume after drying, and after drying is resistant to water, moisture and weak acids. Colour after mixing is grey. Heat resistance +120 °C (temporarily +160 °C). Pack examples: M-2310 30 g blister (12/box), M-2210 20 g box (24/box), M-2110 20 g blister (24/box).

Mattress and Upholstery Bonding Application Support

OYTITHERM hot melts give flexible, strong, noiseless bond seams in mattress production; they work in the cold, are odorless and emission-free, and a light transparent colour stays low-visibility through textiles. EVA is published for pocket springs; SBS/SIS HMPSA for foam-textile lamination and mattress assembly. OYTI offers not only a standard range but also customized, problem-oriented solutions for changing technologies and market requirements.
