Power transformers are designed and manufactured to customer requirements and national/international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) for voltages of 72.5 kV and above and ratings of 5 MVA and higher. ASTOR has capacity up to 800 kV and 1000 MVA; R&D work includes 400 kV / 250 MVA autotransformers. Windings use copper conductors (paper-covered flat wire and CTC); cooling options include ONAN/ONAF, OFAF and ODAF.

Oil Type Distribution Transformers

Oil type distribution transformers convert voltages for energy distribution up to 36 kV and 5000 kVA, with heat removed through transformer oil. Hermetic models are produced from 25–5000 kVA up to 36 kV, single or three phase, ONAN cooled, with off-load or on-load tap changers; conservator types use silica gel for moisture control.

Dry Type Transformers

In dry-type distribution transformers, HV windings are vacuum-cast in epoxy resin; LV windings may use cast resin or prepreg. Astor Enerji produces dry-type units from 25 kVA to 25,000 kVA up to 36 kV with AN or AF cooling; fans allow up to 40% power increase. Ranges follow MLZ, IEC and EN 50588-1 (EU548_2014) voltage series.

The coating is a polyesterimide base with a polyamide-imide topcoat; supplied to IEC 60317-0-2 Class 200 (N), 2.00–16.00 mm width and Grade 1-2-3 build options.
