From automotive and white goods to cosmetics and industrial parts, CAD (SolidWorks, Moldflow), CAM (Powermill) and CNC take projects from design through prototype, mold build, tryout, revision and serial fit in one plant. Multi-cavity tools, hot-runner pockets and moving mechanisms are machined to micron accuracy for long-life, low-maintenance molds.

A progressive die is a multi-station tool in which coil sheet is fed automatically through the die. At each station the strip undergoes a separate operation such as cutting, piercing, bending or forming; the part stays attached to the strip until the last station, where it is separated. Emin Mekatronik designs and builds these dies in-house, from strip layout through try-out. The aim is one or more finished parts on every press stroke. Repeatability in serial production and lower material scrap through strip layout are the reasons the company gives for this die type.

IML Injection Molds

IML is the abbreviation of in-mold labeling. A polypropylene (PP) label that has already been printed and cut to the product form is placed in the mold; when the molten PP fed into the mold merges with the label, a finished product decorated with high-quality print is obtained. In-mold labeling, applied since the early 1990s, gives the right result when the mold, robot, injection machine and label parameters work together. For an IML mold the main points are a very good cooling system, the correct mold material, a design matched to the label shape and the product, selection of the hot-runner and heat-control system, and robot technology suited to in-mold labeling. Square, oval, rectangular, lid and special-design packaging molds are manufactured in this range.

Thin wall is used in injection molds that require high precision, such as storage containers, flower pots and medical products. These molds are manufactured from the company’s long experience.
