Alınan Tuz İsletmeleri izinlerini müteakiben 2002 yılında başlanılan Tuz Yatırım çalışmaları sona ermiştir. Tuz, şirketimiz imtiyazına ait göllerden 2. mineral olarak çıkmaktadır. Şirketimiz, Tekel'den sonra tuz üretimi yapan ilk şirkettir. Ham Tuz, diğer bütün tuz türleri ve çeşitleri için ( Ham tuz, yıkanmış tuz, kurutulmuş gıda ve sayi tuzu, rafine gıda ve sanayi tuzu, v.b ) temel çıkış noktasıdır. Alkim; 2002 Yılında başlattığı tuz yatırım çalışmalarını ve planlanan tuz üretim havuzları inşaatlarını; İlk aşamada Konya-Cihanbeyli işletmelerinde 2004 yılında, Afyon-Acıgöl işletmelerinde ise 2005 - 2006 döneminde tamamlamıştır. Afyon-Acıgöl Tesislerinde 2006 yılında başlatılan tuz üretim havuzları inşaatlarına daha sonraki yıllarda devam edilmiştir. Ön buharlaştırma havuzlarımızın büyüklüğü 1,3 milyon m2'ye, üretim havuzlarımız 4.2 milyon m2'ye toplamda 5,5 milyon m2'ye ulaşmıştır. Böylelikle Acıgöl'den yıllık Ham Tuz üretim kapasitemiz 200.000 ton civarına yükselmiştir.
