Hikmet Gıda

As the olive arm of the Kaanlar food group, we started operations in 1995 to carry the efficiency and trust of our cheese production into olives. Processing and packing Gemlik-type black olives, which began in a 150 m² shop at the Gemlik olive market in 1995 without capital, reached 50 tons per month by 2000. In 2001 we founded Hikmet Gıda to improve growth and production flexibility, forming our group structure.

In 2010 we acquired an olive plant in Süleymanlı, Akhisar, Manisa and brought the Bursa/Gemlik and Akhisar/Medar plants under one roof. We then expanded the new site on 50 dönüm of land from 4,600 m² to 16,000 m² indoor area. Unlike the classic approach in the olive sector, we also completed a 36,000 tons/year storage investment so that all stages from raw olive to table products remain under our control. We set up production, packing and marketing organisations at our modern plants and continue to export under our own Kaanlar brand and as private label, mainly to the Middle East as well as Europe, America, Asia and Australia.
