Aluminium Billet
Aluminium billets produced with Wagstaff AirSlip casting technology in a casthouse with 135,000 tonnes annual capacity. Cast in 1050, 1070, 6005, 6060, 6061, 6063, 6463 and 6082 alloys, in 5"-10" (127-254 mm) diameters and up to 7 metres long; special alloys can be produced on request. After melting, alloying, degassing, filtration, casting, homogenisation and cooling, spectral analysis and microstructure checks are applied.
Aluminium Composite Panel
Building material made of two aluminium sheets with a low-density polyethylene core; produced on a 4,500,000 m²/year line from sheets 0.20-0.50 mm thick and 1,000-1,500 mm wide. Offered under the Primebond, Durabond and Rallbond brands with PVDF, HDP and PE coatings; standard size 4×1250×3200 mm, and A2 and FR/B1 fire-retardant grades can be produced. Used on interior and exterior building facades, decoration and advertising boards.
Aluminium Profile
Aluminium profiles produced on 8 presses of different force and size in 6, 7, 8 and 10 inch diameters, with an annual capacity of 70,000 tonnes. Production covers EN AW 1050, 1070, 6060, 6063, 6463 and 6005 alloys as well as special alloys such as EN AW 6082. The range includes standard profiles, panel and grillage, shower cabin, furniture, shutter and handrail profiles, plus sliding, door-window, facade and office partition series.
Services
Vertical Electrostatic Powder Coating
Aluminium profiles are coated in a wide range of RAL colours to customer requirements in a vertical electrostatic powder coating plant with an annual capacity of 35,000 tonnes. The plant is QUALICOAT certified; coated profiles resist corrosion and UV exposure. A chrome-free 'Cromfree' pretreatment process and paints without organic solvents are used.
Anodising
Matt, bright and coloured anodised surfaces are produced in a fully automated anodising plant with an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes. Before anodising, profiles can go through polishing (mechanical brightening) and steel-brush satin finishing; profiles up to 8 metres long are processed. Custom colours are developed beyond the standard range; products are covered by QUALANOD and TSE.
Custom Aluminium Extrusion
Billets are heated to 420-520°C and pressed through steel dies heated to 450°C to form profiles, followed by cooling, stretching, cutting to length and ageing at 185°C for 5 hours. The die shop has a capacity of 2,000 die sets per year using 3D solid modelling (CAD-CAM). Profile requests of different sizes for various sectors are met on 6 to 10 inch presses.
