Steel Construction Structures

Superstructure work covers steel construction buildings, overhead-crane runways, roof and facade cladding, plus bridges and overpasses. The Karabük Organized Industrial Zone plant has 6,500 m² of covered and 2,000 m² of open fabrication area, with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons of steel construction and special attachments. Since 1982 the factory has produced steel for infrastructure, superstructure, machinery and industrial plants; the steel service centre includes profile and plate cutting/drilling, CNC machining, oxy cutting, weld-prep, built-up profiles and castellated beams.

Welded-part manufacture and weld-assembly are published with Cloos welding machines. The park includes CLOOS Qintron 500A-W, Acrobat HUK 2000 tapping, Sentool316 rivet nuts (M3–M12), LBS75 stud welding (M3–M8; Al Mg3, St 373K, stainless 1.4301, brass) and SEN-TOOL POP rivets (4.8–6.4 mm). During the welding process two or more metal parts are permanently joined together by melting both materials. Whether it is a simple spot weld or a complex assembly, certified welders are experienced in welding assemblies. The manufacture page states compliance with AWS D1.3 (CRS both Mig and Tig) and AWS D1.6 (Stainless Steel both Mig and Tig).

Welded Pressure Equipment Fabrication

Most product welds are made with CNC robotic welding and automation. TIG, MIG and automated welding support continuous serial production. Pressure equipment is manufactured under EN ISO 3834-2 using semi-automatic and fully automatic robotic systems, with submerged-arc, argon, gas, oxygen and stainless-steel welding methods. Welding is performed by EN ISO 14732 certified operators to approved WPQR procedures and WPS instructions. Weld inspection follows ISO 9001 and EN 13445-5 using VT, PT and RT NDT and, when required, macro tests. After sandblasting, accepted parts go through phosphate cleaning and an electrostatic powder line more than 150 metres long.
