Machining (Secondary Operations)
CNC Machining ServiceSecondary special operations requested by customers are performed on cold forged parts, or features that cannot be made by cold forging are created. Parts of different shapes and sizes are machined from bar stock based on customer technical drawings. The line has 8" and 6" CNC lathes, A42 turret lathes, transfer and tapping machines.

Laboratory and 100% Quality Control
Fittings ServiceThe laboratory has a tensile tester for yield and tensile strength, spectral analysis, a 1000x microscope, Eddy-Current surface crack detection, Rockwell and micro Vickers hardness testers, profile projection and a 3-gas analyser. In the 86 m² 100% inspection area, entire lots are checked with machine and visual sorting stations.

Post-Oxidation and Vacuum Heat Treatment (Tempering, Stress Relieving)
Heat Treatment ServiceOxidation performed after nitriding is called post-oxidation; it forms a thin Fe3O4 (magnetite) layer on the steel surface to increase corrosion resistance. The company also performs tempering and stress relieving in vacuum furnaces. Its vacuum heat treatment equipment includes in-house built vacuum tempering furnaces and a 600 kg capacity vacuum tempering furnace.

Full-annealed and inter-annealed options deliver uniform softness, bending and knot-holding properties, with tensile properties tuned to customer request. Produces soft black or bright wire for tying and binding, deep-draw forming, general fabrication and galvanising feedstock.

Heat Treatment ServiceThe Burçelik foundry applies normalizing, quenching, tempering, stress relieving and annealing heat treatments to castings. Technical capacity covers a Ø4300 mm heat treatment diameter, air and water cooling and a 120-ton quenching pool. Heat treatment is carried out under the same roof as casting, machining and quality control.
