Extrusion and Injection Barrels
General Machine ManufacturingFormer manufactures almost every barrel type used in extrusion or injection. Injection barrels must take high injection pressure; extrusion barrels may use grooved feed systems for volatiles or hard-to-feed materials. Nitrided and bimetallic barrels are made in 20–200 mm diameter and up to 5,000 mm length. 24CrAlNi7 nitrided to 900–1050 HV5 is used.

Plasticizing Screws
General Machine ManufacturingFormer produces complex screws to tight tolerances on a CNC screw line. Types include conventional 3-zone, barrier, vented, rubber/silicone, multi-flight and segmented compounding screws. Nitrided and bimetallic screws: 18–250 mm diameter, up to 9,000 mm long; through-hardened: 18–100 mm, up to 1,500 mm. Barrier screws give higher output and a more homogeneous melt than conventional screws.

They dry or cure the paint or coating on processed parts at the required temperature and time, which directly affects durability, adhesion and surface quality. Features: even temperature distribution via specially designed air ducts, modern safety to CE standards, improved insulation and energy-saving design, customisable solutions. Models: belt ovens for continuous serial production, box-type ovens in adjustable sizes, immersion-type ovens for metal heat treatment, tunnel and U-turn continuous ovens, stepped ovens, IR ovens with short-wave infrared, and high-temperature non-stick curing ovens (300–600°C). Digital control units provide precise temperature control; accumulated dirty air is exhausted automatically.
