Founded in 1967 with centrifugal pump manufacturing, Samsun Makina Sanayi A.Ş. (SMS) has become one of Türkiye's leading manufacturers of water transmission and infrastructure equipment. Its product portfolio includes ductile iron pipes and fittings, centrifugal pumps, butterfly valves, gate valves, check valves, air release valves, fire hydrants and complete water infrastructure systems.
SMS commissioned Türkiye's first ductile iron pipe production plant in Samsun in 2002 and expanded its manufacturing capacity with a second factory in Adana in 2016. The company operates advanced foundries, large-scale machining facilities and one of Türkiye's largest pump testing stations with a capacity of up to 10,000 kW. Serving drinking water, irrigation and wastewater infrastructure projects worldwide, SMS combines advanced manufacturing technologies with sustainable production supported by renewable energy investments.
