Steel Casting Heat Treatment
As Çelik performs heat treatment in-house to secure casting quality; the process is not outsourced. Heat treatment is listed as a dedicated heading on the industries page. Together with steel casting, machining and NDT, heat treatment is in the scope of the Kerimbey and Kavak branches along the pattern-to-product lifecycle, so post-cast material properties stay under the company's quality system.
Casting Simulation and Engineering
As Çelik runs casting simulation in-house as an integral production step. Magmasoft and Nova Solid analyse defect risks before pouring, with a holistic design approach from material selection and drawings to the finished result. The company aims at projects that have not been tried before and treats turnover as a means to attempt more complex work. This engineering capacity serves castings for crushing, railway, cement, energy and waste incineration.
Post-Cast Machining
As Çelik's scope, as stated on the sustainability page, includes steel casting, pattern design, machining, welding and NDT; machining is done in-house at Kerimbey and Kavak. Post-cast machining together with heat treatment and finishing prepares parts for delivery. Even for large single-piece castings up to 50 tons, machining stays inside the company; processes are not outsourced.
Pattern Making and Design for Need
As Çelik manufactures patterns in-house for casting quality. Per the innovation page, Nova Solid and Magmasoft casting simulation detect and prevent defects such as lamination, gas porosity, shrinkage, cold crack or hot tear. With years of experience and software investment, hundreds of customer-specific designs have been created; the focus is engineering that extends casting life rather than reselling old designs.
Destructive and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Per the management systems page, both mechanical and non-destructive tests including radiography are performed by As Çelik's certified engineers. Quality scope at Kerimbey and Kavak covers steel casting, machining, welding and NDT. With ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 management systems, production and inspection stay integrated; in-house quality control supports casting reliability.
