Ground-Mounted PV Mounting Systems

Ground-mounted solar plants require structures designed for the site’s soil class, soil chemistry, wind, seismic and snow loads, and corrosion risk. Stark manufactures the structural elements accordingly, calculating each system for local wind, snow and seismic requirements. Structures are specified with C4-certified corrosion protection and accommodate both portrait and landscape PV module layouts.

Solar Carport Systems

Solar carport systems for airports, shopping centres, hospitals and similar sites are project-specific steel structures with high strength and corrosion resistance. The single-vehicle system holds 6 modules (about 3.5–4 kWp); the double-vehicle system holds 10 modules (about 6–6.5 kWp), in zinc-magnesium-aluminium coated steel. The modular layout scales from one bay to large parking areas and is compatible with EV charging infrastructure.

The 62x41 C profile is a deep-web carrier with Ix 7.82 cm⁴. Section A 41 mm, B 62 mm, C 12 mm lip. Thickness 1.8–3 mm; pregalvanized weights 2.48 kg/m at 1.80 mm, 2.74 kg/m at 2.00 mm, 3.38 kg/m at 2.50 mm and 4.02 kg/m at 3.00 mm. Grades S250GD, S350GD, DX51D; coating TS EN 10346 Z275 pregalvanized or TS EN ISO 1461 hot-dip. Used as module purlins on wide-span ground-mount plants and as long-span roof rails under high snow/wind load. Packed 40 pcs/bundle; stock 4.2–7.2 m and cut-to-length 1,000–12,000 mm.

Solar Twin Vertical System

The Solar Twin Vertical System (MGF-GS-2D) is a steel carrier in which panels are placed in a twin vertical layout for small and large sites. All parts are produced in steel and installed by pile-driving. Material follows EN10025-EN10029, with optional Magnelis coating on the upper group. Layout is vertical, tilt 0-60 degrees, coating ISO EN 1461 hot-dip galvanizing. Warranty is 10 years; compatible with framed and frameless panels. It is used as a ground-driven twin vertical steel system for both field and concrete-base construction.

Space frames use pipes and bolted spheres; they are lighter than conventional steel, need no site welding and shorten fabrication and erection. Zinc-magnesium-aluminium alloy coated steel provides long-term protection in coastal, humid and aggressive environments; the coating self-heals at cut or repaired edges. Rooftop work uses aluminium together with coated-steel products.

In agricultural irrigation solar systems the construction is calculated in detail for land and environmental conditions and positioned correctly.
