Austrotherm EPS PREMIUM

Manufactured from expanded polystyrene (EPS), this graphite-modified insulation board reaches a thermal conductivity of 0.030 W/mK. Product type EPS 70; thickness 2–20 cm, size 50x100 cm, square edges, cell content 98% air and 2% polystyrene. It is used for external wall ETICS/facade insulation and for terrace and pitched-roof insulation. It conforms to TS EN 13163:2012+A2.

Aluminium honeycomb panel is published as twice as strong as classic ACP and 2 kg/m² lighter. News states Marinsu took the Turkey distributorship of Honeyfei decking and panel systems; class-certified honeycomb sandwich panels are used on ship floors, ceilings and side walls. SpreFix spray rockwool and glasswool

The SpreFix page describes spray-on insulation for fire, sound, condensation and thermal control. SpreFix G is glasswool-based, EU-Class 0, white, non-flammable, density 45–55 kg/m³, used for thermal, acoustic, condensation and interior structure. SpreFix S is rockwool-based, grey, density 140–160 kg/m³, used where fire insulation is required; it is stated to have passed class-society fire tests for shipbuilding. The binder is an aqueous PVA system that gels with mineral fibre on the surface. About lists SpreFix among certified products.

SOUNDECK sandwich acoustic panel

The SOUNDECK page describes a laminated acoustic panel with two marine-plywood faces (generally okoume) around a constrained acoustic layer (Soundeck Heavy Mass Core, ACM17 and ACM15). The heavy mass core is bitumen-free and non-toxic; ACM17/ACM15 are Amorim cork-rubber cores. Rw 40 dB is published at 16 and 22 mm; a news item states SOUNDECK Heavy meets EN 45545-2:2013 (R10) HL3 for rail vehicles. Core density is given from 150 to 2300 kg/m³. Supplied from IDOSB Dolap Sk. Facade ETICS Application

For facade ETICS, the wall is cleaned of dust, dirt and moisture and cracks are repaired. EPS boards are set into a starter profile and bonded with dabs plus a perimeter bead of adhesive. After the adhesive has cured, boards are mechanically fixed with six plastic anchors per square metre; corner, drip, sill and movement profiles are fitted before render. Two coats of thin render with alkali-resistant mesh are applied, then mineral render and paint or ready-coloured acrylic/silicone decorative render.

Basement Wall Insulation

The basement wall is excavated to the footing and two coats of liquid waterproofing membrane are applied. 25 cm Austrotherm EPS with 100 kPa compressive strength and 0.035 W/mK thermal conductivity is bonded with cement adhesive. Two coats of mesh-reinforced thin render and two further membrane coats follow. A drainage board is installed with dimples toward the insulation, then backfill. 20 kg/m³ EPS was selected against the calculated lateral soil stress.
