Construction Materials ServiceThe development of the processes of newly designed products and the adaptation of innovations in this field to the environment are carried out by the R&D Center. For all manufactured products, competitor comparison studies, literature and patent research, process analysis and verification tests are carried out. The raw materials used in glass production and the properties of glass are verified for compliance with glass production standards with X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF) and Spectrophotometer devices in the R&D laboratory. As a result of product-based performance improvement requests from customers and end users, necessary improvements in product quality and processes are planned and carried out by Düzce Float Glass R&D Laboratory.

Float Glass Production
Construction Materials ServiceDüzce Float Glass was established in 2005, however, it applies its experience of over 30 years in the field of glass processing and logistics to float glass production. Having put into service its two float glass lines in 2010 and 2016, Düzce Float Glass has rapidly qualified to the top among the glass producers in Europe. Having laminate and mirror lines in addition to the float glass, Düzce Float Glass is about to complete its investment of magnetron coating line in order to address the widest range of products available in the glass industry. The homepage slider states an annual production capacity of 550,000 tons and 25% of Turkey’s glass needs. Thickness is stated as 3 to 12 mm in the main homepage copy.

Custom-Size Board Cutting and Dimensioning
Construction Materials ServiceCement-bonded particle and fiber cement boards in standard production sizes can be cut in width and length for custom dimensions; non-standard thicknesses and formats are arranged with the factory. For Tepe Unique Pro® facade supply, factory-cut sized panels are delivered rather than full sheets; product documents require observing production direction during design/installation and mandate dry cutting. Boards cut with wet methods fall outside warranty.

FireEx® Fire-Resistant Ventilated Facade System
Construction Materials ServiceFireEx® is a ventilated facade system with A2 reaction-to-fire classification; the system is non-combustible. It has five main components: load-bearing wall, anchorage/profile substructure, mineral wool insulation, minimum 20 mm ventilation cavity and cladding board. By board type it is offered as FireEx Basic (cement-bonded / Betopanplus group), FireEx Ultra (tepePAN group) and FireEx Unique (Tepe Unique Pro group); Basic/Ultra use galvanized L-J-M profiles, Unique uses aluminium L-T profiles.

Asphaltic Concrete Paving and Compaction
Construction Materials ServiceThe asphaltic concrete mixture is hauled to the laying site by dump trucks. It is paved by electronically sensored pavers to the specified grades and compacted by pneumatic-tyred and tandem rollers. Where load or dimension limits prevent standard plant, mini pavers or vibrating screeds are used for laying and mini rollers and plate compactors for compaction. Aggregate and bitumen specification, mix gradation and bitumen content, mixture temperature, base resistance and paving/compaction compliance are checked at every stage.
