NT-1 Base Nitriding Salt
NT-1 is the base salt for nitriding molten salt baths and is used for nitriding applications. It is molten at its 570-580°C operating temperature and is generally melted in titanium or other special pots. Its reactive components are alkali cyanates. It comes in white tablet form in 25 kg polyethylene bags and is classified neither as toxic nor harmful.
NT-OKSİ Cooling and Oxidation Salt
NT-OKSİ is used for cooling parts and increasing corrosion resistance after nitriding. Used as a quenching medium with the nitriding bath, it works between 370-425°C and oxidizes the surface to black iron oxide (magnetite). Oxidized and polished material can be oxidized a second time for further corrosion resistance. Powder form, 25 kg bags.
NT-REG Base Nitriding Salt Regenerator
NT-REG is the polymer regenerator chemical for NT-1 base nitriding salt. During nitriding the cyanates convert to carbonates; NT-REG converts the carbonates back to cyanates without any volume change in the pot, keeping the cyanate level within set limits. It is a yellow tablet supplied in 25 kg polyethylene bags.

Turnkey Nitriding and Oxidation Facility Installation
Orion provides all the equipment, technical infrastructure, process consultancy and application support needed for turnkey nitriding and oxidation facility installation under one roof, including installation and commissioning. Nitriding molds, shock absorber shafts and many other parts in-house reduces outsourcing costs and keeps operational control within the business.
Technical Consultancy, Process Support and Analysis
Alongside nitriding salt supply, Orion offers technical consultancy and process support, plus analysis and information services. Its R&D focuses on increasing efficiency to reduce chemical usage without compromising quality and on developing custom formulas for customers. Orion salts allow nitriding in accordance with SAE AMS-2753C.
Master and Operator Training
Orion provides master and operator training to businesses that want to perform salt bath nitriding in-house. Training covers process steps such as running the NT-1 nitriding bath around 580°C, regenerating cyanate levels with NT-REG and using the NT-OKSİ oxidation bath, drawing on experience with domestic and international customers.
