About

Established in 1980, Kıvanç Group continues its activities in 3 divisions; Safety, Engineering and Mining.

Besides, AKATEK (a Kıvanç Group company), is a technical yarn & fabric manufacturer serving to heat & flame protective garment manufacturers. At our ring spinning mill in Antalya Organized Industrial Zone with a capacity of 10,800 spindles, mostly flame-resistant technical yarns are produced with an annual capacity of 1,000 tons; and 1.5 million meters of technical fabric are produced annually on our 12 high technology weaving looms. The fabric used in the suit of Türkiye’s first astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı, was proudly manufactured by Akatek.

In Safety Division, personal protective clothing against heat and flame, static discharges, arc flashes, molten metals, welding spatters and chainsaw are produced.

At our Sinop factory, we manufacture personal protective garments such as firefighter suits, search and rescue clothing, and heat and flame resistant, antistatic protective clothing for workers in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipelines and storage facilities. We also produce protective garments for the iron and steel industry against molten metal splashes, as well as protective clothing against arc flash for power generation and transmission lines. Additionally, products such as wildland firefighting clothing, chainsaw protective clothing, pilot coveralls, tanker crew uniforms, and camouflage apparel are manufactured for military and security forces.

Kıvanç Group established Turkey’s first heat laboratory in the field of personal protective clothing.

Personal Protective Clothing Manufacturing — Kıvanç Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

Personal Protective Clothing Manufacturing

In the Safety Division, personal protective clothing is produced against heat and flame, static discharge, arc flash, molten metal, welding spatter and cutting hazards. At the Sinop OSB plant the company makes antistatic flame-resistant garments for firefighters, search-and-rescue and refinery or petrochemical crews, as well as molten-metal splash clothing for iron and steel and arc-protective garments for power lines. Production is verified in heat and physical laboratories to EN and ISO tests before CE certification.

Klevostar Removable Pad Turbine and Equipment Insulation — Kıvanç Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

Klevostar Removable Pad Turbine and Equipment Insulation

Klevostar removable-pad insulation for turbines, machines and equipment is intended to cut energy loss with pads that can be taken off and refitted for maintenance. Pads are made to the equipment geometry and fastened with screws or ties. The system is used on textile dyeing machines, boiler-front insulation and exhaust lines that need frequent access. Kıvanç Group’s engineering division installs the system on site.

Spray-Applied Turbine and Equipment Insulation — Kıvanç Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

Spray-Applied Turbine and Equipment Insulation

Spray-applied insulation is chosen for energy saving, occupational safety and a rigid insulation surface. It is preferred on steam turbines that are not dismantled for long periods and do not need frequent opening. Heat-resistant granular materials, especially rock wool, are applied through a dedicated machine so the shell is covered without gaps; a high-temperature render and oil-repellent coating complete the system.
