About
AŞY POLYMEKS KİMYA İNŞ. SAN. TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. was founded in 2003. With its experience in the sector it is one of the pioneering companies manufacturing in insulation, adhesives and floor coatings in Turkey.
In 2004 it developed its R&D work and started production with two plants it established in Istanbul; it began producing insulation and adhesive filter glue (Protolin) and electrical insulation materials for the first time in Turkey. Today it is a Turkish company with laboratory systems in which R&D work is carried out to international standards, and one of the largest such plants in the Middle East.
AŞY POLYMEKS KİMYA continues to serve its customers from its Istanbul head office. With the investments it has made, it aims to raise production capacity at its newly opened Gebze plant across all products in line with 2022 plans and to exceed expectations.
It continuously exports insulation and adhesive materials to many countries around the world. A large part of Turkey’s polyurethane and adhesive demand is met by AŞY POLYMEKS KİMYA. Its Istanbul plants have a monthly capacity of 400 tonnes of polyurethane adhesive and 600 tonnes of polyurethane and epoxy production.
The product range includes polyurethane-based adhesives, polyurethane insulation and floor coatings, acrylic-based adhesives, electrical insulation materials, filter glues, epoxy floor-coating systems and the first Turkish polyurethane prepolymer.

Polymex CLK-51 Epoxy Abrasive Adhesive
CLK-51 is a solvent-free, high-viscosity, two-component epoxy abrasive (sandpaper) adhesive. The surface must be even, dry and clean and free of mineral oil, dirt, rust and burrs. No foreign material may be added. If ambient or surface temperature is below +10°C or above +30°C, wait for suitable temperatures. Mix the material in the large can first; then pour hardener B into A and mix until homogeneous. Use the mix within 10–12 minutes. Apply to the surface by machine, roller or trowel.
Polymex CLK-52 Epoxy Abrasive Adhesive
CLK-52 is a solvent-free, low-viscosity, two-component epoxy abrasive adhesive. Compared with high-viscosity CLK-51 it is a more flowable grade. The surface must be even, dry and clean and free of mineral oil, dirt, rust and burrs. If temperature is below +10°C or above +30°C, wait for suitable conditions. Mix A first, then add hardener B until homogeneous. Use the mix promptly; apply by machine, roller or trowel.
Polymex P-5091 Epoxy Ceramic Adhesive
P-5091 is a solvent-free, specially filled epoxy ceramic adhesive based on epoxy resin. It is a gel-paste adhesive and multi-purpose repair mortar developed for tile applications on vibrating systems in industrial plants, R2 class, high bond strength, solvent-free and wipeable with water. Pack A+B 20 kg (A 18.50 kg / B 1.50 kg). Initial shear adhesion 11.3 N/mm², after water immersion 12.3 N/mm², after thermal shock 9.0 N/mm². Compressive strength 30 N/mm² at 1 day and 75 N/mm² at 7 days; application thickness 2.5–35 mm; pot life 1 hour at +20°C.

R&D and Laboratory
In 2004 R&D was expanded and production started with two Istanbul plants. The company now has laboratory systems for R&D to international standards. Product quality and controls are carried out by specialist teams. Training is done with European partner firms; R&D investment combines specialist staff and technology.

Production includes polyurethane-based adhesives, acrylic adhesives, filter glues and epoxy systems. In 2004 the company started producing insulation and adhesive filter glue (Protolin) and electrical insulation materials for the first time in Turkey. The range also includes the first Turkish polyurethane prepolymer.
Adhesive Export and Supply
Insulation and adhesive materials are continuously exported to many countries. A large part of Turkey’s polyurethane and adhesive demand is met by AŞY POLYMEKS KİMYA. Capacity is being raised in line with 2022 plans through the Istanbul office and Gebze plant.
