Arçelik A.Ş. has been active in consumer durables and consumer electronics since 1955. Its Manisa OSB sites include refrigerator and washing-machine plants.
About
Arçelik was established in 1955 in Sütlüce, Istanbul. According to its own history, it produced Turkey’s first washing machine in 1959 and first refrigerator in 1960.
The company timeline records the Eskişehir refrigerator plant (1975), compressor plant (1977), R&D Center and Consumer Information Service (1991) and Ankara dishwasher plant (1993).
The 2023 annual report describes Arçelik as active in R&D, manufacturing, marketing and after-sales support in consumer durables and consumer electronics, with production facilities in nine countries and a 14-brand portfolio. The same report lists a refrigerator plant, washing-machine plant and R&D center in Manisa.
