Vacuum Pumps ServiceThe helium leak test, where we manufacture vacuum components, is part of our manufacturing process. We use helium leak testing to find small leaks or larger leaks in larger volumes. Helium is used as a tracer gas and its concentration is measured. Helium test can be used to determine leakage rates from 1×10−6 mbar·lt/s to 1×10−12 mbar·lt/s. In the vacuum method the inside of the part is vacuumed and helium is sprayed from outside onto welds, flanges, portals and connection points; helium entering through leaks is recorded on the mass spectrometer. In the sniffer method the inside is pressurized with helium and possible leak points are scanned with a sniffer.
