Drives are controlled digitally or analog. Speed can be set over a wide range with high precision. Output voltage, output current, torque and time-proportional acceleration can also be adjusted. With encoder or tachogenerator feedback, motor speed can be held constant under load changes. Drives are built for standard shunt motors and also for special DC, series and compound motors.
