Trend-setting models designed in-house are delivered to consumers through leading global brands. Lead times are 4–6 weeks, falling to 2–3 weeks on repeat orders.

Woven garments

General Apparel Manufacturing

Alongside knitwear, Sun Tekstil has produced woven garments since 2018. Collections designed for leading European brands use fabrics partly supplied by subsidiary Ekoten Fabrics. Quality-assurance specialists run checks throughout production, and chemical and physical tests are carried out in in-house laboratories. Delivery lead times are 4–6 weeks, or 2–3 weeks for repeat orders.

Onay Socks produces no-show (babet) socks at its Istanbul plant. The custom quote form offers this height with plain knit, half terry or full terry construction and cotton, bamboo, modal, mercerized cotton or organic cotton yarns. From yarn selection through knitting, finishing, quality control and packaging, production stays in-house. Logo on socks, text, custom colors, custom pattern and private-label packaging can be specified.

Ankle Socks

Ankle socks are the ankle-height option on Onay Socks’ custom quote form. They are produced in plain knit, half terry or full terry, in cotton, bamboo, modal, mercerized cotton or organic cotton. Knitting runs on Lonati computerized sock machines and double-cylinder lines; yarn selection through final packaging is handled in the 3,000 m² Istanbul plant. Logo, custom color and private-label packaging requests are accepted.

Tennis Socks

Tennis socks are one of the sport/crew heights on Onay Socks’ quote form. Construction is plain knit, half terry or full terry; yarns include cotton, bamboo, modal, mercerized cotton or organic cotton. Double-cylinder machines added in 2023 strengthened technical and distinctive sock production. With capacity above 20 million pairs a year, yarn-to-packaging stays in the Istanbul plant; logo, custom pattern and private label can be applied.

Ankle and Ballerina Socks

Alkatek knits ankle (socket) and ballerina socks on computerized single-cylinder and double-cylinder machines ranging from 96 to 200 needles. Production covers women's, men's, children's and baby models; colour, yarn and model details are entered into the knitting machines before production starts. After knitting, toe circles are closed on Conti-Complet or single-line machines with Comfort (Rosso) or single-line stitching.

Pantyhose

Alkatek started in 2000 with an annual capacity of 1,500,000 pairs and within ten years raised output to 20,000,000 pairs of socks and 4,500,000 pairs of pantyhose per year. Pantyhose production uses Lock and Punteriz machines that are uncommon in the sector. All production stages are kept in-house; raw materials and accessories come from suppliers holding international quality standards and ethical certifications.

Women’s, Men’s, Children’s and Infant Socks

Bross Textile manufactures classic socks for women, men, children and infants. The catalogue includes 100 percent cotton men’s socks (article 11975, sizes 39/41 and 41/44), bamboo men’s socks (article 11121, sizes 39/42–43/45), bamboo men’s short-cuff socks (article 12252, same size range) and four-season lycra patterned men’s socks (article 11120, sizes 39/42–43/45). Children’s styles include plain bamboo kids’ socks (article 010122, sizes 1/3 to 11/13 years) and terry socks; women’s no-show and sneaker styles include closed terry women’s invisible socks (article 012913, one size) and reverse-terry women’s sneakers (article 13261, sizes 36/38–39/41). Yarns used in production are cotton, cashmere, acrylic, elastane lycra, wool, modal, viscose, soya yarn, bamboo and organic cotton. In the first quarter of 2014 an investment in machines producing seamless socks increased capacity by 15 percent.

Pantyhose and Tights

Bross Textile defines its area of expertise as panty-hose and produces tights for infants, children and women. The catalogue includes terry baby boys’ tights (for example Beeb Beeb terry baby tights, article 13414, sizes 0/6–18 months), terry girls’ tights (for example Ballerina terry girls’ tights, article 13220, sizes 1/3–11 years), plain bamboo children’s tights (article 010043, sizes 1/3–13 years) and plain children’s tights (article 9427). Leggings are produced in the same product family. Pantyhose and tights are knitted at the 25,000 m² plant in Çerkezköy OSB, using cotton, bamboo, elastane lycra and other yarns on a park of 622 machines.

Baby and Children’s Slippers

Besides socks and panty-hose, Bross Textile produces special items such as infant and children’s slippers and home shoes, moccasins, dance shoes and sea shoes. The catalogue’s girls’ baby and children’s slipper assortment (article 7803, price code K09) is offered in sizes 0/6, 6/12 and 12/18 months and 2/4, 4/6, 6/8 and 8/10 years, with non-slip dotted soles. This group is also sold under the company’s own brand in 5 stores in Turkey and 4 in the United States. Production is carried out at the factory at Organize Sanayi Bölgesi 3. Cadde No:10, Çerkezköy, using cotton and blended yarns.

Varol Socks

Men's Winter Socks

The winter collection includes men’s cotton, acrylic-wool and wool socks; the site shows brown cotton, navy acrylic-wool and grey wool examples. Production is in a 3,500 m² plant on fully electronic knitting machines (Bentley Comet, Lonati Bravo, Colosio, Irmac Tex, Sangiacomo Star 45) with 72–156 needle gauges. Adult sock output is 350,000 pairs per month; yarns include cotton, acrylic, polyester, wool, mercerized and modal.

Apparel design and product development

To supply high-quality clothing for coming seasons, new fabric techniques and designs are researched; custom designs and capsule collections are prepared to the client’s brief. Fabrics, accessories, print, embroidery, washing and dyeing methods are developed and turned into garments through modelling. The process starts with research and mood boards, continues with print, accessory and embroidery suppliers, and ends with finished pieces presented to the brand. More than 700 new styles are developed each month.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Better Cotton, GOTS and OCS/GRS/RCS requests are assessed by project scope.

Garment Wash and Finishing

Brand-specific socks are manufactured in a high-capacity plant. The About page states 16 million pairs a year, 150 knitting machines and more than 50 employees; the garment-production page cites 20 million pairs annual sock capacity. Computerized single- and double-cylinder machines from 96 to 200 needles knit ankle, ballerina, knee-high, pantyhose and technical socks. Selected yarn and model details are loaded into the knitting machines; quality control uses computer-assisted machines and manual inspection.

Washing, Boarding and Packaging

After toe sewing, socks go to boarding (ironing) and packaging; they are ironed on a conveyor system and passed to packing. The wash department uses two Levatek washing machines and two high-capacity wet-wash, drying and extracting machines. Pre-washing can be applied on request; Lavatec machines can wash with antibacterial treatments (Sanitized, Aegis, Purista), Aloe Vera, silicone and various essences. After washing and ironing, goods are packed in the brand’s packaging and dispatched.

Branded OEM Sock Manufacturing

Bross Socks has worked as a solution partner to leading world brands through the service and reliability it has provided since 2008, when it became a joint-stock company with the aim of working with the biggest companies in the world. The Çerkezköy OSB plant has 622 machines and 800 employees in 25,000 m² of indoor space and an annual capacity of 72 million pairs. Design and R&D started in 2011; 30 percent of production is allocated to the company’s own brand, with the remaining capacity used for branded customers in socks, panty-hose and related knit goods. Exports to Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Germany, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, England and the USA are coordinated with YAKO Textile Industry and Foreign Trade Inc.

Sock Design and Product Development

Bross Textile launched design and R&D studies in 2011 in order to create its own brand and now allocates 30 percent of production to that brand. It issues collections twice a year covering women’s, men’s, children’s and infant socks, panty-hose and special product groups, with different models and yarn types. An underwear R&D department established in 2015 develops slips, boxers, undershirts, vests and similar innerwear for men, women and children. Collections are offered under the own brand in stores in Istanbul, Yeşildirek and Laleli and in the US store chain set up in 2016.

Washing, Forming and Packaging

After knitting, customers receive toe sewing, washing, forming and packaging (labeling and boxing). The production-process diagram lists washing, finishing and ironing, then quality control; each pair is inspected before shipment. ISO 9001 continuous improvement and Six Sigma DMAIC target on-time quality. Packaging uses certified suppliers for standard labels or custom cardboard or wooden boxes.
