Custom Sock Knitting
Knitting ProductionCustom sock knitting on a 26-machine floor in Istanbul. Socks are knit as one continuous tube on a circular knitting machine; cylinder sizes commonly run between roughly 96 and 200 needles. In the same pass the machine builds terry cushioning, mesh panels, ribbing, and reinforced heel and toe. A single sock takes about 3 to 6 minutes to knit, depending on height and complexity. Toe closing is seamed (rosso) or machine-linked for a flat, seamless-feeling toe. Every pair is pre-washed, boarded over foot forms with steam, then inspected by hand and paired. Annual capacity is 2.5M+ pairs. MOQ is 50 pairs per design and size; bulk production is 3-6 weeks from approved sample.

Apparel Design and Product DevelopmentSock product development from an idea, a sketch, or a benchmark sample to a production-ready sock: tech packs, yarn selection, and physical prototypes, all developed and knit under one roof in Istanbul. A development plan is returned within 24 hours of the brief, with revisions included until the direction is right. The tech pack covers yarn composition, Pantone colorways, knit structure, needle count, size run and measurements, logo technique, and packaging spec. Construction engineering includes cushioning and mesh zones, rib structure, arch support, toe closure method, and reinforcement where the sock wears first. Physical samples are knit in 1 to 2 weeks; one or two revision rounds are typical before sign-off. After development, production starts on the same floor from 50 pairs per design and size, 3-6 weeks from approved sample.

Average output is 2.5 million pieces a month; 10% is made in the Torbalı units and the majority by a subcontractor network. Cutting-audit, quality-assurance and code-of-conduct teams work in the field. Lead times are 4–6 weeks, or 2–3 weeks for repeats.
