Wire PlatingFlat and round copper and aluminium wires for transformer, winding and electric motor coils are insulated with kraft/crepe paper, Nomex-type aramid, Kapton-type polyimide film, glass fibre, enamel or polyester film. Coating thickness, overlap ratio and thermal class are set to the datasheet values. Every batch undergoes dimensional, resistance and breakdown voltage checks after production and is shipped with an EN 10204 3.1 certificate.
