Asdas Fog Seal Surface Protectant

Asdaş Fog is a water-based protection, renewal and rejuvenation layer produced from modified bitumen. It is applied by spraying with a distributor. On existing or newly built chip seals and hot-mix asphalt it provides waterproofing, forms a protective film that prevents aggregate loss and fills hairline cracks. About one hour after application it has cured enough for the road to be opened to traffic. Because it is modified-bitumen based it creates a jet-black surface. It extends pavement service life by three to five years. Cracks larger than 2 mm must be filled before fog seal.

Asdas Onyx Axys Mastic Coating

Mastic surface coating is a protective maintenance product containing bitumen, polymers, particle reinforcing materials (clay etc.), surfactants, emulsifiers and synthetic aggregate, used to protect asphalt and concrete pavements. Onyx is a mix of high levels of angular fine aggregates, polymers and catalysts; it provides skid resistance and a stated service life of 5+ years depending on the existing pavement and traffic. Axys is a surface-protection mastic developed for hot and cold weather that re-blackens an asphalt surface or parking area. The first coat is 0.5–0.7 kg/m²; with the second coat the recommended total is at least 1 kg/m². In suitable weather the second coat is applied within a maximum of 15–30 minutes.

Asdas Prime Resin-Based Primer

Resin Primer is a US-patented, nanotechnology-produced, nonionic product developed as an alternative to MC 30 (Fm2B2) type bitumen binders that contain high levels of petrochemical solvent. Because of its nonionic character it bonds to any aggregate, including limestone and basalt, regardless of the electrical charge of the substrate. It is sold concentrated and must be diluted 1:4 (w:w) with water before use. Application rate of the 1:4 water-diluted product is 0.9–1.5 kg/m². A maximum of 2–4 hours is sufficient for it to cure. It is used as a prime coat under both hot-mix asphalt and chip seal, and for dust control, soil stabilization and PMT strengthening.
