Chemical Raw Materials ProductOlivine sand as a natural refractory material over 1350°C. High MgO content up to 51%, high melting point and refractoriness up to 1760°C, high thermal shock resistance and low thermal expansion. Low impurities and LOI below 2%, low moisture and water absorption below 1%. Grain sizes 1-5, 2-5, 2-6, 2-7, 2-8, 3-6, 3-7, 3-8, 4-8 and 4-9 mm; other sizes and packaging available.

Chemical Raw Materials ProductOlivine foundry sand with a sinter point over 1350°C. Improves surface finish especially in manganese steel casting and reduces grinding costs; high thermal shock resistance and low thermal expansion prevent penetration of molten metal. Improves bonding with clay and reduces the bentonite requirement, provides gas permeability, high reuse ratio and no free silica. Supplied in AFS 30-35 to AFS 80-85 grades; an economical alternative to zircon and chromite.

CAN (Calcium Ammonium Nitrate) 26% N
Chemical Raw Materials ProductCAN is the most widely used top-dressing fertilizer for all crops except paddy rice and contains 26% nitrogen (N). Half of the nitrogen is in ammonium (NH4) form and half in nitrate (NO3) form; nitrate nitrogen is taken up quickly by roots during rapid growth, while ammonium nitrogen is converted to nitrate by soil bacteria. The CAN unit at the Mersin plant has a capacity of 660,000 tonnes/year.

Chemical Raw Materials ProductDAP (Diammonium Phosphate) is a two-nutrient fertilizer containing 18% nitrogen (N) and 46% phosphorus. Because its nitrogen is in ammonium (NH4) form it is especially effective in early plant growth and is retained in the soil, with no nitrogen loss through leaching from heavy rain or irrigation. When used as a basal fertilizer it should be supplemented with other nitrogen fertilizers at top dressing. It is produced at the Ceyhan and Samsun plants.

Chemical Raw Materials ProductContaining 20% nitrogen (N) and 20% phosphorus (P2O5) as active ingredients, this is the most widely used two-nutrient compound fertilizer in Turkey and worldwide. With balanced nitrogen and phosphorus, both nutrients are readily taken up when the granules dissolve in soil water after basal application. Its nitrogen is in ammonium and urea form so it is not easily leached by rain, and all of its phosphorus is plant-available. Sulphur- and zinc-containing variants are also offered.
