Products
Kaolin
Kaolin is a layered clay mineral generally formed by the decomposition of feldspars. Owing to its chemical composition it can be used in many sectors, above all cement. It is also used both raw and refined in porcelain, sanitaryware and tile production. In body and glaze recipes it affects casting performance while also serving as an alumina source.
Potassium Feldspar
Potassium feldspar is an important raw material for the ceramics, glass, frit and enamel industries. K-feldspar is generally used to lower the melting temperature. Used in many industrial processes, Esan potassium feldspar products increase efficiency and improve the functional properties of final products. Applications include refractories, glass, porcelain, electrodes, enamel-frit, sanitaryware and tiles.
Sodium Feldspar
Sodium feldspar is classified by its Na₂O, Fe₂O₃ and TiO₂ content. An aluminium silicate, it melts at low temperatures in ceramic bodies thanks to its Na₂O while its Al₂O₃ provides chemical resistance and sintering stability. It is used as a sintering promoter in ceramics and glass and, in fine grain sizes, in paint, plastics, masterbatch and rubber; it is produced in granular or powder form with low moisture and is suitable for quartz surface production.
