GRP / CTP Pipe
AKBOR GRP/CTP pipes are made by continuous filament winding. The range covers DN 300–4200 mm, pressure classes PN 1–40 bar and stiffness classes SN 2500–10000 N/m2, in lengths from 0.3 m to 15 m. Designed to ASTM, AWWA, ISO, EN and TSE requirements, they serve potable water, wastewater, irrigation and hydropower lines.
GRP Fittings and Special Parts
AKBOR fabricates tees, elbows, reducers, flanges and other special parts from CTP pipe to project needs. Pipe sections are cut to angle and shape then joined by hand lay-up with fiberglass mat, woven fabric and polyester resin. Non-standard fittings, ribs and subsea lugs can also be made, including on-site fabrication when transport or fit-up requires it.
GRP Coupling Joint
GRP pipes are joined on pressure and gravity lines with EPDM-gasketed coupling joints. Couplings use the same materials and process as standard CTP pipe; gasket grooves are machined on a coupling machine. Akbor EPDM gaskets provide double-sided sealing; the flexible joint reduces transfer of settlement and seismic stress into the pipe wall.
Services
Pipe Project Engineering
With its pipe engineering system and field experience, AKBOR supports piping projects from design through application. Continuous filament winding is planned under PLC-PC control from diameter, stiffness and pressure class inputs; product selection and line solutions follow standards such as ASTM D3517, D3262, D3754, AWWA C950 and TS 4355.
Hydrostatic Testing and Quality Control
CTP pipe production includes an ISO 9001 quality program from raw-material checks through in-process and final pipe tests. After cutting, pipes move through beveling and calibration to the hydrostatic test section. Process parameters and wall thickness are continuously logged and reported to meet ASTM, AWWA, ISO, EN and TSE requirements.
Shipping and Logistics
AKBOR's shipping and logistics unit supports customers from design through field application with pipe engineering experience. Beyond domestic DSI irrigation and hydropower deliveries, it handles safe, economical and fast shipment for export projects such as Lithuania and Iraq, including nested loading of DN 800–3400 mm pipes.
