A NEW VISION IN TURKEY'S STEEL PRODUCTION

The KILIÇLAR group, which has served Turkey's steel sector for about 45 years in metallic recycling and later in marketing of ribbed structural steel, completed the missing link of its vertical-integration vision by bringing the Bilecik Demir Çelik plant into the group as of March 2014.

Bilecik Demir Çelik is a steel production facility with high metallic efficiency through its technological infrastructure and process strategy. While producing ribbed structural steel — a key input for the regional construction sector — to national and international standards, BDÇ converts metal waste into value on the basis of recycling, minimum waste and sustainable industrial production.

For the sustainability of customer satisfaction, environment and occupational health management, Bilecik Demir Çelik aims at continuous improvement by eliminating nonconformity at source at every process step, with strong equipment and competent personnel, and with technology and quality investments.
