We are among the leading manufacturers of innovative thermal insulation products, with 36 EPS plants in 14 European countries and 2 EPS plants in Turkey. Thermal insulation is Austrotherm’s field of expertise. Following the development of EPS in Europe, we started the first EPS production in Austria in 1953; founder Oswald Nowotny was the first Austrian to produce expanded polystyrene. Austrotherm belongs to Schmid Industrie Holding, an Austrian industrial group with more than 100 companies in 25 countries and 6,500 employees. Austrotherm started EPS production in Turkey in 2008 at the Dilovası, Kocaeli plant and later opened further plants and production sites. It currently serves the insulation market with 2 EPS plants and 2 production sites. At the Kocaeli-Dilovası and Ankara-Sincan EPS plants and the Kayseri-İncesu and Trabzon-Arsin production sites, Austrotherm Turkey manufactures EPS products to TS EN 13163 for building insulation from foundation to roof. The range includes Austrotherm EPS®F (white) and Austrotherm EPS®F-Plus (carbon-grey) boards, supplied through dealers and applicators. The boards are used on roofs, facades, floors and ceilings. Austrotherm continues to bring more than 60 years of insulation experience to the Turkish market.
