AKFORM’s area of expertise is insoles that seem simple but have a very complex structure. Production, which was limited to special sponge insoles in 1999, now covers a range formed by shaping many materials with different methods for the shoe industry. The production facility is in Karabük Organized Industrial Zone, on an area of 18 decares, in an 8,000 square metre single-floor closed hall, producing for sponge, shoes, medical, automotive and white goods sectors. Daily capacity is 60,000 pairs of P.U injection, 40,000 pairs of special sponges and 35,000 pairs of E.V.A–P.E. and felt insoles. Lining fabrics are also produced by latex lamination, flame lamination and film lamination. The integrated plant carries out design, mold making, lamination, shaping, label production and insole application in-house; raw materials pass through quality-control processes. The quality policy is to produce durable, healthy shoe insoles. The company states it complies with national and international occupational health, safety and environmental rules.
